Guerilla marketing strategies are effective because they’re creative and outside-the-box—and that’s why they work. In this article, you’ll learn how to use guerilla marketing to sell more stuff and bring more customers to your business at an affordable price point. If you want your company to stand out from the competition and connect with potential customers in a new way, these strategies will help you do just that!

What is Guerrilla Marketing?
Guerilla marketing is an active form of marketing where you take something to market, rather than wait for your prospects to come to you. While it’s not uncommon to think of guerilla marketing as more buzz-worthy techniques like a flash mob or a concert, that isn’t always true. Guerilla marketing is a broad term that can encompass many other different tactics and strategies. Whatever strategy you use, remember that if there are no people in your space with whom you can connect and start building trust, then all other tactics will fail. No one wants to deal with someone from another planet — so build rapport first! Here are some examples of what guerrilla marketing can look like:
Having a booth at local festivals and events, handing out free samples (or free t-shirts) at these events.

Types of Guerrilla Marketing
Guerrilla marketing is an innovative way to advertise your product or service. To define it in its simplest form, you are taking a No-Budget approach to promote what you have to offer. It is an effective way to build customer loyalty and awareness at low cost. Guerrilla marketing is also referred to as Non-Traditional or Alternative Advertising which involves using out of pocket promotions that don’t require a large budget. This type of advertising can be used by almost any size business, from local companies with only one location all the way up through national corporations with hundreds of locations throughout several countries around the world. Let’s take a look at some of these Non-Traditional advertising methods: Guerrilla Marketing Tactics/Alternate Advertising Methods

Examples
In order to show you what guerilla marketing looks like, here are a few real life examples: 1. At new clubs and restaurants in Manhattan, promoters go from table to table handing out free shots of liquor or wine as part of a club membership package (not coincidentally asking if patrons can remember their name when they are inevitably asked). 2. A small business owner drives around town in his truck with a poster on his side advertising that he’s looking for people to do some work at home typing letters etc. 3. In Spain, two men walked around offering women $100 to kiss them. They were fined after being arrested. This was done as part of a viral marketing campaign by Calvin Klein Underwear.[citation needed] 4.
