Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of increasing, growing, and expanding online visibility via search engines.

Essentially, these marketing efforts are dedicated to getting pages ranked higher on the results of search queries.

To perform Search Engine Optimization, a variety of different tasks can be used:

  • Securing more quality inbound links
  • Using relevant, high traffic keywords on pages
  • Updating metadata (e.g. ALT Text)

SEO is a combination of on-page and off-page factors that lead to increases in search results. The essential rule to follow for page optimization is to make them easier for search engines to find while offering valuable front end content for users.

Search Engine Optimization is an alternative marketing strategy to obtain free referral traffic to websites and landing pages. For example, getting inbound links from other high traffic sites might be a strategic and effective approach for market attribution.

SEO is also effective to understand relevant terms and keywords your customers are using. By targeting the specific keywords they use, you can present relevant content that connects to their queries.
